I cannot resist the charm of marbles.

In this acrylic painting, a battalion of marbles seems to roll forward, scattered across a yellow field. The early morning sun illuminates the colorful orbs, casting long shadows that are as beautiful as the marbles themselves. They are rendered larger than life, and the exaggerated size gives the sense that you are standing amongst them.

Marble games were fun, but for me, their real magic was, and still is, in their beauty. I place them where sunlight can pour through. I love to watch them come alive with a vibrant, glowing radiance. In combination with their beautiful color and the nostalgic feelings they conjure up from long-ago memories of a more carefree time, the sight of marbles gives me calm.
