In this small, bright acrylic painting, a lemon hangs from a limb against a turquoise background.

I snapped a picture of this lemon tree when I visited the Chateau de Chenonceau in the Loire Valley. The chateaus, mostly all turned into art museums at this point, are always a delight to visit. In addition to amazing art gracing the walls of the historic chateaus, the grounds are often filled with the most fantastic gardens. Fruit was coming in on the potted lemon trees that graced the grounds. The sky was such a brilliant blue that day, and this specimen caught my eye.
