I am often awestruck when I come across a sunlit bloom in my garden. Time stands still as I observe highlights and shadows on the bright, rich colors of nature. I long to capture the vision and provide the breathtaking impact the moment delivers.

This bright red nasturtium, sitting amongst its supporting stem and green leaves, produced this kind of moment. I snapped the photo, and soon I was applying paint to the canvas board. Is the color just for me? I believe it is for us all. I buy and plant the seeds so I get to look at, paint, and eat the results of my labor, but not before our pollinators get their share. Winning!
