I created this painting for my grandson's nautically themed bedroom. I chose the imagery of three whales, two with calves. One appears to be in the dark waters of the deep, the next midway up, and a third just below the surface, showing beautiful light patterns through sunlit shallow waters. A school of orange fish sweeps through the acrylic painting, adding color and interesting movement to the otherwise blue-toned composition.

I am in love with whales and fascinated by the ocean and the creatures within it, so it was a particularly delightful piece of art to create!
